However:there was little attempt to spread Protestantism

Possible reasons for why Henry Reformed the church/allowed Protestant ideas to be spread

2)The influence of Reformers E.G Cromwell(Henry’s advisor)
3)Desire for the churches wealth
4)Desire for Male heir/carry on dynasty
How did Protestant ideas start to spread
First:Henry allowed reformist o speak freely
Because:it suited his purpose of pressuring the Pope into granting him a divorce
How did the Protestant ideas/Protestantism spread so quickly (who made it easier to be spread)
-Cromwell campaigned it in parliament
-Cromwell encouraged appointment of reformers to position of power(within the church/out)
