➊ Reflux of urine back up from bladder through ureter to the kidney
➋ Vesico-ureteric reflux (VUR)
➌ Abnormality of the ureters during foetal development, where it doesn’t pinch off as the bladder contracts

➊ Neonates, and usually disappears as the baby grows
➋ Frequent UTIs
➌ * MCUG - Used to see and diagnose the VUR as the urine flows backwards from the bladder
* DMSA - Used to assess for any renal scarring later down the line
