Reflexive Verbs Flashcards
Reflexive verbs are used when the action is reflected on the subject. If the subject and object of the verb are the same, then a reflexive verb is used.
They are conjugated in the same way, but must always be preceded by a reflexive pronoun.
I shower etc.
Me ducho Te duchas Se ducha Nos duchamos Os ducháis Se duchan
For reflexive infinitives, simply add “ se “ to the end.
To wake up yourself To get up To have fun To look at yourself (reflection) To put on (wear) clothes To comb your hair
Despertarse Levantarse Divertirse Mirarse Ponerse Peinarse
Note with some verbs like “poner” the meaning will change when it is reflexive.

Luís se peina. ( PAY- nah )

In the first he combs his own hair, so it’s reflexive.
