Q

What are the parts of a ray diagram ?

A

Incident Ray is the ray of light from source striking to a given reflective surface. The reflected Ray is the incident Ray after reflection at the point of incidence. The point of incidence is the point at which incident Ray strikes the plane mirror. The angle of incidence is the angle between incident ray and normal. The angle of reflection is the angle between reflected Ray and normal. The normal at the point of incidence is perpendicular to the surface at the point of incidence.

Q

What is a regular and irregular reflection ?

A

When a parallel beam of light is reflected as a parallel beam, the reflection is said to be regular. If a parallel beam of light is reflected in all different directions, the reflection is said to be irregular.

Q

What are the charecterstics of a plane mirror ?

A

The image is erect it is of the same size of the object. The image is laterally inverted. The image is far behind the mirror as the object is I front of it. The image formed is virtual.
