Reflection and Refraction Flashcards

1
Q

Explain the Brewster angle and how to find it

A

The angle for an incident wave to make with an electromagnetic interface such that none of the wave is reflected, it is only absorbed/transmitted.

Q

What three variables are the transmission and reflection coefficients dependent on?

A

R_||, R_T, T_||, T_T can all be calculated from the impedances of the two media and the angle of incidence.
