Reflection Flashcards
What are luminous objects?
objects able to produce its own light.
What are illuminated objects?
objects that are capable of reflecting light into our eyes.
What is the directing of sight in a specific direction called?
the line of sight
what’s the line of sight principle?
In order to view an object, you must sight along a line at that object; and when you do light will come from that object to your eye along the line of sight.
What’s the incident ray?
The ray going toward the mirror.
What’s the reflected ray?
The ray that is reflected off the mirror.
what is the equality in plane mirrors?
object distance=image distance
What does the law of reflection state?
when a ray of light reflects off of a surface, the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.
a ray of light is incident to a mirror at 30 degrees. what is the angle of reflection?
60 degrees (since the angle of incidence is measured between ray of incidence and normal)
