reflection Flashcards

1
Q

what is total internal reflection?

A
  • incident angle greater than critical angle
    > rays are reflected back into same medium as incident ray
  • high to low index interface
  • effect of total internal reflection at the cornea
    > light returning from the angle is totally internally reflected within the cornea
  • application of total internal reflection at the cornea in other assessment is gonioscopy
