The forgotten footnote is where you didn’t note the location of the source material.
What is a misinformer?
Inaccurate information
What is a too-perfect paraphrase?
A too-perfect paraphrase is a quote that either was not cited or not put in quotations.
What is academic integrity?
Simply, it is doing your own work and respecting the work of others.
Why do we reference? (3)
To: acknowledge the work of others, demonstrate the depth of our research and to avoid plagiarism.
Why do we provide in-text citations?
To inform the reader where the idea(s) come from.
What are the two types of in-text citations?
Author/Date (Wood et al., 2000) & Notational (…^1)
Why do we provide reference lists?
To allow a reader to simply see all the resources used in a text.
