Free will
- Humans can use free will to sin
- god wants humans to choose him freely not by force
Sin
- Sin is an action which rejects God
- broke the relationship between human and God,
- Jesus restore faith through his sacrifice
Significance of Jesus’ death
-Jesus’s death was to make up for the sins of humanity. He took the blame for human action and was crucified
Significance of Jesus’ resurrection
-The resurrection showed life after death to the disciples. Some didn’t believe Jesus so Jesus said “bless it are those who have not seen and yet believe “.
Significance of Jesus’ Ascension
– 40 days after Jesus’ resurrection
- Jesus left the holy spirit to guide us
- Jesus acted as a reset for all the sins of humanity
Redemption in the mass
– Liturgy of the word – the reading demonstrates his words and actions and how God loves,heals, restores and forgives people
-our father – this prayer ask God for forgiveness because of Christ’s redemption
Heavenly banquet
The banquet is a feast. Christians believe that in the afterlife a heavenly banquet awaits. “In my house there are many rooms” reminds us that there are many rooms waiting for us in heaven
Pilgrimage
The trip that people go on to express their thanks to God for example Rome which is the centre of the catholic faith.
