What is a lectern?
The place where people stand to do the readings - usually in prominent place so people can see
What is the Tabernacle?
Where the body of christ is stored
Stored after concentration - blessed sacrament
Store bread not wine
Red light called sanctuary lamp to shows the blessed sacrament is in the tabernacle - genuflect
If light not on you should bow
No blessed sacrament on good Friday
What is the crucifix?
Statue of Jesus on the cross - reminds us of suffering and salvation - helps feel gratitude
What is free will and sin?
The sinner’s “will is bound, but it is and remains his will. He repeatedly and voluntarily acts according to it.” So it is, to be set free from sin and for righteousness requires a “rebirth through faith.”
What is atonement
the action of making amends for a wrong or injury.
What is the cruxifixction?
When Jesus dies on the cross
What is the resurrection?
When Jesus was resurrected three days after the crucifixion
What is the ascension?
When Jesus went to heaven
What is redemption?
the action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil.
