Red Flags of Breathlessness or Difficulty in Breathing

Severe Asthma
At least 2 of the following:
Rapidly worsening breathlessness - more than 30 respirations/minute (or more if a child)
Heart rate more than 110 bpm
Reluctance to talk due to breathlessness
A need to sit upright and still to assist breathing.
Cyanosis is a very serious sign.
