What theory helps explain the role of recruitment and its rx with selection?
A
Schneider 187s attraction-selection-attrition (ASA) model. Recruitment is the attraction hypothesis - ID those who are likely to have the KSAOs needed to perform well on the job and attract them so they will apply. This is the feeder into the predictive hypothesis - hire those with highest scores on measures of KSAO critical to the job.
