What should you do before and after doing sports activities?
-To avoid injury, warm up slowly and stretch before exercise.
-After exercising your body needs time to cool down.
-Walk around or jog slowly to slowly cool your body.
What should you do for activities in hot weather?
-Drink water to prevent dehydration.
What is heat exhaustion?
Excessive heat and dehydration over a long period of time.
What will happen if a person is not treated at a point of heat exhaustion?
The person may suffer sunstroke or heatstroke, which can be life-threatening.
What are other signs of heat exhaustion?
High fever, extreme fatigue, dizziness, constricted pupils, and flushed skin.
What are the three things to remember before doing sports?
- Take time to warm up and cool down
- Stop if you feel pain
- Avoid overheating
How do you reduce risks during hot weather?
- Drink several glasses of water hours before exercising.
- Drink cold water (1/2 a cup) every 15 to 20 minutes when doing sports activities.
- Avoid overexertion, especially during times of high humidity and high temperature.
- Wear Lightweight loose-fitting clothes.
