Schemas

A

War of ghosts story, used war, death, ghost etc schemas to make sense of it.
Serial reproduction made it shorter and more English.
Part that were forgotten were bits that didn’t fit into their schemas or understanding.

Stereotyping

A

Story- preconceived ideas for it
Allport and Postman gave white participants a pic of a white scruffy man with a razor threatening a smart black man on a train.
Destruction reversed, used black and white schemas, filling in the blanks- confabulation.
