What are tired divers?

A

divers with a problem who generally ask for help and follow instructions
don’t reject gear

What are panicked divers?

A

divers with problems
overwhelmed by stress or fear
react on instincts, not reason
tend to reject gear
fail to establish buoyancy
-> usually exhaust themselves and lose consciousness without rescue

A

may overpower you
-> need to maintain physical control

What is passive panic?

A

no signs of panic
may quietly slip under surface and drown
=> if diver is non-responsive assume they need help until you establish otherwise
