Hypovolemia

Myocardial ischaemia or infarction
Can also be caused by heart block, electrocution, drugs, structural heart disease, inheritance issues
Causes of VF?
What is a low diastolic caused by?
What about narrow pulse pressure?
What is the normal pulse pressure difference?
- Arterial vasodilation through anaphylaxis or sepsis
- Cardiogenic shock or hypovolemia
- 35-45mmhg
What is the definition of oliguria?
<0.5 ml / kg / hr
What is the definition of oliguria?

If needing fluids, what strategy?
500ml crystalloid over 15 mins
Or 250ml in HF / trauma

How long should CPR be continued?
When should you stop?
As long as a shock able rhythm or potentially reversible cause persists.
It is accepted that asystole for more than 20 min, in the absence of a reversible cause and with all als measures applied, is unlikely to be corrected by more CPR.
