Discharge Valve (Similar to suction service valve)
Normal Operation = Cracked off the backseat
Removed to Connect Hose = D.S.V.H.P. transducer (only difference from suction valve)
Position Before Connecting Hose = Backseated
Position to transfer refrigerant = Cracked off the backseat
Position for compressor being isolated and removed = Front Seated
Changing Packing = Back Seated
Crankcase Service Valve
Normal Operation = ____
Transfer Refrigerant = ____
Crankcase Service Valve
Normal Operation = Front seated
Transfer Refrigerant = Back seated
Select the component that is used which aids in draining of the condenser while the condenser is being drained.
condenser draining 1/4 turn venting valve
(on condenser water return line between flow switch and temp transducer)
On system 2 you need to calculate for superheat to see if your TXV is operating normally. Identify the component that you would select so it would display the information and you would be able to calculate for superheat for system 2.
compressor condition 2 button
If the oil pressure of chiller 3 compressor 1 is lost find the component which will stop and protect the compressor.
Chiller 3 oil pressure transducer compressor 1
On chiller 3 at what oil psid will compressor 1 shut down at?
25 PSID
Chiller 4 will shut down on low temperature chill water, at what temperature will this happen?
36 F
Which chill water and condenser water lines are the inlet and which are the outlet on reciprocating chiller
Return lines are the inlets
Supply line are the outlets
On compressor 1 select the suction service valve and then put it in the correct position for normal operation.
Chiller 3 suction service valve compressor 1, no action needed
(?)
Go to the navigation bar on the left and select the miscellaneous section. Select the valve which is in the correct position if you were about to attach a refrigerant hose to the service port.
R-service valve back seated
Go to the navigation bar on the left and select the miscellaneous section. In the tool box identify the service port on the valve which is front seated.
R-service valve front seated service port
(The little nub sticking out towards the top)
What component has a set point above high pressure cut out, but is set below test pressure
PRV
On system 2 find the component which would relieve pressure in an emergency high pressure situation in the condenser
system 2 PRV
If your high pressure cut out is set at 90% of your pressure relief device then what is your pressure relief device set at?
300
What is the high side pressure that will shut down the chiller 3 system 2?
270 PSI
If chiller 3 compressor 2 oil temperature before start up is 130 degrees should the compressor start up.
No
Go to the navigation bar on the left and select the miscellaneous section. Locate and identify the low side manifold valve.
R-low side manifold valve
(Its a knob on the back of the manifold)
For Chiller 3 & 4 identify the safety data sheet used for the refrigerant that this chiller uses
SDS-R22
On system 2 what valve would you choose if you want to recover refrigerant from the compressor crankcase.
suction service valve compressor 2
On system 2 find the component which would relieve pressure in an emergency high pressure situation in the condenser.
system 2 PRV
