Q

CREW INCAPACITATION

A

If a crew member becomes incapacitated, the remaining crew member must call a cabin attendent as soon as practicable. The best way to request assistance from the cabin crew is by means of the passenger address system:

“ATTENTION, PURSER TO COCKPIT PLEASE”

Cabin attendent then:

  • Tightens and manually locks the shoulder harness of the incapacitated crew member
  • Pushes seat fully aft
  • Reclines the seat back

Then in coordination with the purser:

  • Request assistance from any medically qualified passenger
  • Check if a type qualified company pilot is on board
