Aborted engine start
Engine Start lever (affected engine)

Causes:
N1 Hung Wet hot No oils press
ENG FIRE SEV DAMAGE SEPARATION
1- autothrottle (if eng) … disengage
2- thrust lever (affected eng) …confirm … close
3- start lever (affected eng) …confirm … cutoff
4- Eng fire sw (affected eng) …. confirm … pull
To manually unlock the eng fire sw , press the override and pull.
5- if fire sw, or eng ovht light, is illuminated, rotate to stop and hold 1 sec
If after 30” the eng fire sw or eng overheat light is illuminated:
Eng fire sw …. rotate other stop hold for one second
APU FIRE
Apu fire sw …confirm …pull
Rotate to stop and hold 1 sec
Apu sw off
ENGINE OVERHEAT
Autothrottle (if engaged)… disengage
Thrust lever … confirm … close
If engine overheat light stays illuminated:
Go to Engine fire nnc page 8.2
Airspeed unreliable
Autopilot (if eng) ... disengage Autothrottle (if eng) ... disengage F/d (both) .... off Set the following gear up pitch attitude and thrust: flap extended pitch 10 80%n1 flaps up pitch 4 75%n1
ENGINE LIMIT SURGE STALL
A/t if (engaged) … disengage
Thrust lever… confirm … retard
Until indications stay within limits or thrust lever is closed
EMERGENCY DESCENT
1- Announce to pax Emergency descent x2
f/o announce to Atc (mayday) and obtain altimeter area
2- Pax signs ….On
3- Without delay Descend to lowest safe altitude or 10.000 whichever is higher
4- Eng Start sw … CONT
5- Thrust Levers (both) reduce to min or need for antiice
Anti ice as needed (not recal)
6- Speed brake ….. flight detent
7- Set speed vmo mmo
CABIN ALTITUDE WARNING
OR
RAPID DEPRESSURIZATION
1- Don oxygen mask and set regulator to 100 2- Establish crew communication 3- Pressurization mode sel. MANUAL 4- Outflow valve sw ......hold in close til indicating full close 5- If cabin uncontrollable Pax signs ON Pax oxygen sw ON Go to EMERGENCY DESCENT NNC 0.1
Loss of thust on both engines
Eng start sw (both) ….. FLT
Start lever (both) ….. CUTOFF
When EGT decreases, start levers(both) IDLE detend
If egt reaches red line or there is no increase in 30 sec,
ENG start lever (affected engine) … confirm… Cutoff, then Idle detent
If egt reaches red line or there is no increase in 30 sec, Repeat as needed
- above 270fl set 275kt
- Below 270fl set 300kt

RUNWAY STABILIZER
Control column HOLD FIRM
A/P if engage … disengage
Do not reengage ap
control pitch with manually with control column and main elec trim as needed
A/T if engaged … disengage
Do not reengage at
If runway stops after ap is disengaged nnc complete
If runaway continues After ap is disengaged
Stab trim cuttout sw (Both) . cutout
If runaway continues
Stab trim wheel Grasp and hold
Take off and landing configuration
Assure proper configuration
