The Locarno Treaties (1925)

A
  • this was negotiated outside LON between Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Poland and Czechoslovakia
  • Germany accepted its western borders, including the demilitarisation of Rhineland
  • Weimar government agreed to settle any disputes with these countries through LON
  • note : considered a partial success as nothing was decided about Germany’s Eastern borders with Poland and Czechoslovakia
