EVALUATION- the influence of ethnicity- ASIAN FAMILIES

A

today are mostly nuclear families/ modified extended families. But, 30 yrs ago they were extended ones.
linked to migration patterns, where a man would have come to Britain on his own, then his wife & kids.
Once they settled down, they helped other relatives & families come to UK. They would have formed extended families in order to help each other out.

A

And they need financial and childcare support from relatives.
However, recently, more w/c families are becoming lone parent families because they experience high divorce rates due to economic problems.
