What is reactivity?
A
The effects that an assessment has on the behavior being assessed.

When is reactivity most likely?
A
When observation is obtrusive, or the person being observed is aware of the observer’s presence and purpose.

How do you limit reactive effects?
A
1 make observations as unobtrusive as possible,
2 repeat observations until apparent reactive effects subside, and
3 take possible reactive effects into account when interpreting
the results of observation
