when the body undergoes changes leading to reproductive maturity is known as adolescence.
what is puberty?
the human body goes through several changes during adolescence. these changes mark the onset of puberty.

the features which help to distinguish male from female are known as secondary sexual characters.

the testes and the ovaries secrete the sex hormones. these hormones are responsible for the male and the female secondary sex characters

the first menstrual flow which begins at puberty is known as menarche.
what is menopause?
at the age of 45 to 50, the menstrual cycle stops, this stoppage of menstrual cycle is known as menopause.
what are chromosomes?
the thread like instruction present in the fertilised egg are called chromosomes.they are present in the nuclei of every cell.
name the chromosomes present in males and females?
the chromosomes present in males are X and Y. the chromosomes present in females are X and X.
name the hormone produced by the thyroid gland?
the hormone produced by the thyroid gland is known as thyroxine.
name the hormone produced by adrenal gland? what is it responsible for?
the hormone produced by adrenal gland is known as adrenalin. it helps the body to adjust to stress when one is angry, embarassed or nervous.
