Apocalypse

A story that uses symbols to get across important truths.

A word meaning witness; used to describe parts of the Bible

The Hebrew name for the first five books in the Bible.
Wisdom Writings
These Old Testament books are about how to live wisely and well in the sight of God and other people
Contrition
Being sorry in your heart for having sinned against God.
Forgiveness
Healing a friendship broken by wrongdoing

Gift of God’s life and help in a person’s soul.
Paschal Candle
The large candle lit at all the Easter Vigil Mass.
Penance
Something to make up for the damage done by sin; also a name for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Repentance
Turning to God and being truly sorry

The order and way in which a sacrament is celebrated

One of the titles for the pope

A calling; a direction in life a person receives from God
Original sin
The sinful tendency that humans inherit from Adam and Eves disobedience
