-reestablishment of the JE in 1 to 2 weeks
- the repair of CT continues for 4 to 8 weeks.
- Subgingival microbial repopulation occurs within 2 months in the absence of improved plaque control.
- Longer than 2 months may be too long to wait for the reevaluation because pathogenic bacteria have already repopulated periodontal pockets.
