RBT EXAM Flashcards
Latency
is the amount of time between one event and another event
Continuous Measurement
is a data collection system where some dimension (or dimensions) of a behavior is recorded each time the behavior occurs, such as frequency, rate, etc.
Momentary Time Sampling
Data collection where you record yes / no ONLY if the behavior happens at a specific moment
Frequency
is the measurement of the total count of a behavior. Frequency is sometimes (but not always) used a synonym for Rate by some behavior analysts.
Partial Interval Recording
You score the interval if the behavior happens for any part of the interval
Discontinuous Measurement
This is a sampling method, collecting data at intervals to record an approximation of a behavior; examples include partial or whole interval recording.
Inter Response Time (IRT)
is the time from the offset of one response and the onset of the next response.
Permanent Product
Count of a behavior per unit time
Whole Interval Recording
Data collection where you record yes / no IF AND ONLY IF the behavior occurs for the entire interval
Duration
Total amount of time (i.e., temporal extent)
Rate
Count of a behavior per unit time
Multiple Stimulus Without Replacement (MSWO) Preference Assessment
Preference assessment where selections are removed once selected after each trial; assessment ends after all items have been selected once or the participant refuses to select on 2 consecutive trials; generates a “ranked list” of preferred stimuli
Multiple Stimulus (MS) Preference Assessment
a type of preference assessment where stimuli are available on each trial - generates a list that reflects an individuals most-preferred stimuli, when all options are available
Social Skills assessment
Focuses on the development of skills required to participate in the community, make friends, and interact with others
Functional Analysis
demonstrates causality - that is to say, A causes B
