Rbt Flashcards
Unconditioned Punishers
Naturally punishing/ no learning required for them to be punishers.
Eamples: pain, cold, hunger
Conditioned Punishers
Become conditioned through their pairing with unconditioned punishers.
Discrimination Stimulus (SD)
Stimulus that has been paired with that reinforcement for that behavior in the past.
I.e.- behaviors are more likely to occur in the presence of that stimulus.
Behavior
An observable interaction of an individual with their environment.
Response
One instance of behavior
Topographical Response Classes
Behaviors that all look the same; however, the function of behaviors may be different.
Functional Response Classes
Behaviors that may look different; however, the function of these behaviors may be the same.
Motivating Operation
A condition of deprivation, satiation, or aversion that momentarily affects the value of the reinforcer.
Extinction
Process in which a previously reinforced behavior is no longer followed by the reinforcing consequence - the frequency of the behavior decreases in the future.
Count
The number of occurrences of a behavior.
Rate
Count for a specific amount of time.
(i.e., per minute, per hour, per day).
Duration
A measure of the total amount of time in which a behavior occurs.
Latency
The elapsed time from the onset of a stimulus/task direction to the initiation of a response.
Partial Interval Recording
The time interval would be scored if the behavior occurred during ANY portion of the interval.
Whole Interval Recording
The time interval would be scored only if the behavior occurred for the ENTIRE interval.
