Rate Of Reactions Flashcards

1
Q

What is the rate of a reaction? Examples?

A

How long it takes for reactants to form products:
Slow = chemical weathering + rusting of iron
Medium = magnesium reacting with acid to produce a stream of bubbles
Fast = fire + explosions (over in a fraction of a second)

Hiwisthe speed of a reaction found?

A

Measure products formed/ react as used up.

Faster = steeper
