Q

How does increasing temperature increase the rate of reaction ?

A

Particles’s move faster when temperatures increased

If they move faster they are going to collide frequently

The faster they move the more energy they have so more collisions will happen.

Q

How does increasing concentration or pressure increase the rate of reaction?

A

If the solution is more concentrated it means that there are more particles in the same volume of water or solvent

Therefore the particles collide more frequently

Q

How does surface area increase the rate of reaction?

A

Surface area increases the rate of reaction because there’s a bigger surface area to volume ratio.
