Jpg-

Gif-
is a file extension for an often animated raster graphics file and supports transparency 256 colors
Tif-
Largest images The TIFF file format was created as a standard image format to save high-quality images that could be used across multiple computer platforms.
BMP-
is an image saved in the Bitmap (BMP) raster image format developed by Microsoft.
PNG-
Supports transparency, and interlacing, and 16 Million colors
PSD-
is an Adobe Photoshop Document file with layers.
Compression
is the process of encoding or converting an image file in such a way that it consumes less space than the original file.
Resolution (72 points per inch)
Dots Per Inch. DPI determines the resolution of images. The more dots per inch, the higher the resolution.
RGB-
Colors of light Red, Green, Blue
CMYK-
refers to the four ink plates used in some color printing: cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black).
Greyscale-
Grayscale images, a kind of black-and-white or gray monochrome, are composed exclusively of shades of gray.
Hue-
the name of a color in the color spectrum
Saturation-
Saturation is the intensity or brightness of a color. Lowering the brightness of a color can be achieved by adding gray or the colors complement.
Value-
the art element that describes the darkness or lightness of a color
Tint-
a light value of a hue; created by adding white
