How would you treat a patient that is having a seizure?
A
Versed, the best way would be to take off the needle and give it rectally. More than likely they wouldn’t need that treatment unless the seizure lasts more than 5 minutes. If they are more than 5 minutes, it can cause serious brain damage.

If you give a patient a narcotic after sedation, what instruction do they need?
A
Don’t take it today. since they still have Versed in their system, if they take a narcotic it will have a synergistic effect and they could re-sedate.
