What is the vertebral formula in canines?
C7-T13-L7-S3
__________ is disease of the attachment of the vertebral joints
Spondylosis deformans
Identify this abnormality:

Atlantoaxial subluxation
Infection/inflammation of intervertebral disk and adjacent enplates is termed:
diskospondylitis

T/F: Fluid shows up bright in T2 MR images
True

Ignore the red arrow. Is this a T2 MRI?

No.
The image below is a T2 MRI. Fluid shows up BRIGHT in T2 images

Identify the highlighted structure. This is where the humerus articulates with the ________.

Trochlea (lateral condyle)
This is where the humerus articulates with the ulna.

“My Cat Loves Sunny Places”
What is this section of the bone called?

cortex
What is this section of the bone called?

periosteum
This feature is unique to the cat:

supracondylar foramen
Identify the highlighted structure:

tibial crest

Identify the highlighted structure:

medial femoral condyle
Identify the highlighted structure:

lateral femoral condyle
Identify the highlighted structure:

fabella
Identify the highlighted structure:

Identify the most likely cardiac change in this patient:

PDA
Radiographic findings: The trachea is dorsally deviated due to left ventricular enlargement. The proximally ascending aorta appears enlarged on the lateral view. The left atrium was mildly enlarged and appears as a double opacity on the VD image. The cranial lobar vessels are enlarged with the vein slightly larger than the artery. The left ventricular border is enlarged with rounded borders. On the VD images, the descending aorta bows laterally and has a bulge. No evidence of cardiac decompensation at this time (no signs of left heart failure).
DDx: Ductus bump consistent with a PDA (left to right)
What is the #1 site for development of osteoarthritis in horses?
Distal intermediate ridge of the tibia (DIRT)
T/F: Cortical involvement may indicate an aggressive bone lesion
True
When differentiating between aggressive and non-aggressive bone lesions, what is the transition zone?
area between the margin of the lesion and normal appearing bone
- Short zone of transition - indicative of benign lesion
- Long zone of transition - indicative of a more aggressive lesion
What type of ‘ray’ is used for CT imaging?
X-ray
What type of ‘ray’ is used for MRI?
