What’s the difference between ECS and Fargate?
A
An ECS container instance is nothing more than an EC2 instance that runs the ECS Container Agent. The EC2 instance is owned and managed by you. You have granular control over infrastructure.
Fargate is a serverless technology that you can use with Amazon ECS to run containers without having to manage servers or clusters of Amazon EC2 instances
