What is a centaur?
Centaurs are objects half way between an asteroid and a comet. Most orbit between Saturn and Uranus. One is Chiron.

What is the difference between the photosphere and the chromosphere?
The photosphere is the layer of the sun we can see. Its temperature is about 5800K. The chromosphere is above this layer, and its temperature is a whopping 100,000K!

A diagram showing the movement of sunspots towards the equator.
