what is the difference between cluster sampling and stratified sampling?
A
Stratified sampling: individuals are divided into homogenious groups and then an equal number are taken from each group/strata. exclusive groups with no one left out and no overlapping.
Cluster sampling: members are already in naturally occurring groups. Subjects are selected as an entire randomly selected group, not as individuals from a group.
