Civil Service Exams were standardized tests used to select candidates for various jobs. They were pretty fair because it reduced favoritism and being chosen for land.
Meritocrocy
The concept of giving people jobs for their knowledge rather than social status or family background
What is the Silk Road? What was exchanged in the Silk Roads?
The Silk Road went all the way from China to Rome. It made China very wealthy.
Good traded include silk, porcelain, tea, paper, and spices. The actual trade wasn’t as important as the spread of culture (cultural diffusion)

Globalization Pros = access to more stuff, shared cultural practices, new tech spreads

Philosophy based on the teachings of Confucius, an ancient Chinese thinker. It emphasizes the importance of moral values, proper behavior, and respect for family and social harmony.
