A

• Trees have thin, smooth bark to encourage surface runoff and to keep cool
• Plants have drip tips to channel water away so the plant isn’t oversaturated
• Buttress roots on trees for stability
• Epiphytes (plants that grow on other plants) grow on trees to get more sunlight
