Q

What is convectional Rainfall?

A

During the summer, strong heating from the sun causes the ground to heat up rapidly. This can set up rising air pockets of warm air, known as convection currents. Warm air rises rapidly to high altitudes where it cools.

Q

What is frontal Rainfall?

A

frontal rainfall develops along weather fronts which form where two air masses meet. Warm moist air meets cold air and forced upwards. It rises, cools and condenses to from rain.
