Radiology Flashcards
clavicle 2 view
AP w/ caudal & cephalic tilt; fx, DJD, ACJ
Zanca view of clavicle
AP (of ACJ) w/10 degrees cephalic tilt, ACJ pathology (DJD, fx)
Stress view of clavicle
b/l ACJ’s w/w-out weights, ACJ separation/instability
Serendipity of clavicle
40 degrees cephalic tilt manubrium, sternoclavicular pathology
AP shoulder
plate perpendicular to scapula, Trauma (fx/dx) or arthritis of glenohumeral joint space
Axillary lateral of shoulder
Abduct arm, beam into axilla; glenoid/humeral head position for dislocations and hill-sacks lesions
Scapular Y view
beam parallel to scapula; humeral head position/ trauma and acromion type
Supraspinatus outlet
scapular Y view w/ 10 degrees caudal tilt; acromion type
view and acromion type for impingement
hooked type (type 3) seen best in supraspinatus outlet view
Stryker notch
hand on head w/ 10 degree cephalic tilt; good for Hill-Sachs lesions
West Point
Prone w/ beam into axilla; anterior inferior glenoid for Bony Bankart lesion
CT shoulder
axial, coronal, sagittal; see articular congruity and fx fragment position, good for proximal humerus fx and glenoid/intrarticular
MRI shoulder
good for soft tissues; rotator cuff and labral tears
