Explain silhouette sign
A
You get a silhouette when there are two different densities. This can be used diagnostically. E.g. the heart silhouette is lost if the lung is of the same density.

A
Nodules across the lung, of similar size and can be seen distinctly

If the mediastinum is shown to be drawn to one side, what does that show?
A
Collapse on the side it is being pulled towards

A
A tumour arising beyond the hilum

A
