Q

What is IP Site Connect?

A

IP Site Connect enables you to extend the reach of your MOTOTRBO two-way radio system to do just that. This software allows you to link several single-site systems via a standard IP network, opening the door to uninterrupted voice and data communication without geographical limitations.

Q

What is Capacity Plus?

A

Capacity plus is a trunking solution that uses TDMA time slot technology to mimic trunking technology. Capacity Plus will automatically select an available time slot for the radio transmission. This allows for potentially unlimited channels or talk groups. The only restriction is the amount of available time slots. Capacity Plus is only available for re-repeater-based systems, as it is essentially a repeater licence upgrade. Any Capacity Plus compatible radio will work on a Capacity Plus enabled repeater.

Capacity Plus is the intelligent software solution that links up to 1,600 MOTOTRBO radio users to voice and data without adding new frequencies. Your employees can exchange information with voice communication and share data, all on the same system. Increase Productivity with Smart Applications.

Note: Capacity Plus is repeater-based and is not available without a repeater.

Q

What is linked Capacity Plus?

A

Linked Capacity Plus (also known as “Link Capacity Plus” and sometimes abbreviated to “LCP”) is an extension of the Capacity Plus system and allows for up to 15 sites.

This enables the user to potentially build a reasonably large multi-site system at relatively low cost.

Note: Linkeded Capacity Plus is repeater-based and is not available without a repeater.

29
Q

What is a milliamp on a radio?

A

mAh stands for milliamp hour and it is how a Two Way Radio battery’s capacity is measured. The higher the mAh rating the higher the energy capacity of your battery and longer it will last after a full charge cycle.

30
Q

What is “lone worker”?

A

Lone Worker Mode is a very useful feature for people working in remote difficult terrains, mines, forests, or dangerous conditions. This feature uses a built-in timer in the two-way radio. The timer has a pre-set interval, after which the user must reset the timer again for the next interval.

Q

What is “intrinsically safe”?

A

The standard ensures that an “intrinsically safe device” is incapable of triggering combustion or igniting any gasses or fuels. To put it simply, you can use it around gasses or fuels without risking static electricity or heat discharge from the device igniting the surrounding volatile gasses, powders and liquids.

33
Q

What is the birth date of a battery or Motorola accessories?

A
