What are the components of the ILS?
A
- Marker beacons;
- Locators;
- Approach lighting;
- Glide Path;
- Localiser.

INOP. ILS COMPONENTS…
A
- If Localiser is inoperative, cannot fly the ILS;
- If Glide Path is in inoperative, approach is still allowable but with greater minima;
- If Marker Beacons are not available, then either GPS or DME can be used.

What are the RPT lighting requirements? (AIP ENR 1.1)
A
- Runway edge lighting;
- Threshold lighting;
- Illuminated wind direction indicator;
- Obstacle lighting;
- Taxiway lighting;
- Apron floodlighting.

What are the pariah runway lighting failure requirements? (AIP ENR 1.1 p90)
A
- There is no change during VMC (day or night);
- In IMC, prevailing vis. must be equal or greater than published minimum in instrument approach;
- lighting requirements increased by x 1.5.
