Differentiate between danger, prohibited and restricted areas
D areas are permanent and non permanent, a radio frequency will be available to obtain info.
P areas must NEVER be flown through
R areas are in place to restrict aircraft overflying for non-security reasons. e.g a bird sanctuary
What is QDR?
Magnetic track of the aircraft from the station
What is QTE?
True bearing of the aircraft from the station
What is QDM?
magnetic bearing of the station from the aircraft
What is QUJ?
True bearing of the station from the aircraft
How far laterally and vertically is LARS available from a radar head?
30nm(some are further)
up to and including FL095
What should you do during a radio failure OCAS?
Fly a left hand triangle with 2 minute sides
