A
A term used to describe the instrumentation and methods used to measure patient dose from the CT scanner.

What is KVP?
A
The qualitative measure of the X-ray beam. An increase in kvp produces an increase in photon energy resulting in an increase in patient dose when milliaperage remains the same.
