why is it important?

keeps us safe, ensures equipment functions correctly

what 3 things are done to ensure new equipment is safe?
A
Critical examination: IRR 2017, check it was installed properly, the warning and safety features work, is there sufficient protection for people from exposure eg. shielding, emergency stop buttons, signage, ventilation duct in control room etc.
Commissioning: does it do what it says on the box? set up the equipment for clinical use
Acceptance: are you happy with what it does? does it meet the agreed specifications?

what are the image quality tests looking for?
A
resolution: ability to see fine detail
noise: random variation in pixel value.
