What is racism?

discrimination or unfair treatment based on a person’s race

A
based on ancestry, or where a person comes from believing that the group you belong to is better than other groups

What is Scientific racism?
A
Based on the physical characteristics of humans, such as brain sized. The belief that some races are better or more intelligent than others

What is Institutional racism?
A
Refers to activities that are meant to protect the advantages of a dominant group.

What is new racism?
A
Less obvious or covert (includes xenophobia (discrimination against immigrants or refugees) as well as a negative attitude towards groups with different cultural values)
