- majority of the BAME population are young so the population is only likely to grow making BAME voters taking up more and more % of the electorate

- less related to ethnicity more to social class, region, employment
- historically immigrants from BAME backgrounds were employed in industrial roles in cities which already connects them to labour and encouraged labour to pick up more policies to protect its supporters
