Guide us to the straight path - The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.

O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous - [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him].

  • HIGHLIGHTS Allah’s caste for his creatures, by sending scriptures so knowledge doesn’t elude them
  • REMINDS Muslims of the continuation of the prophetic mission

When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake. And the earth discharges its burdens. And man says, “What is [wrong] with it?” - That Day, it will report its news. Because your Lord has commanded it. That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds. So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it, And whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.

  • Prophet PBUH, declared this world as a cultivating ground for the hereafter
