coronal plane
The anatomical plane that vertically divides the body into equal front (anterior) and back (posterior) portions.
cranium

depression
The action of moving a body part in a downward (inferior) direction.

An imaginary line defining the central axis of the body, dividing the figure vertically into equal right and left halves; also, an imaginary line defining the central axis of a body part, such as an arm or leg.
orbit
Either of the bony cavities of the skull that contain the eyeballs.
posterior
In back of; toward the back of the body; dorsal
pronation
The medial rotation of the forearm which moves the hand to a palm-down position or that, in the anatomical position, moves the palm to face backward.
proximal
A location term referring to the part of an arm, let, hand, etc. that is closest to that body part’s point of attachment.
