- President and Dean of Students should promote acceptance and acknowledge UVA’s deeply troubled history
- Administrators and student media outlets should use existing communication channels to start, continue, and deepen our discussion of racism and ethnocentrism
- President Sullivan should order creation of mandatory online summer cultural competency training module and a fall orientation presentation.
- Required public comment period at BOV meetings
- President Sullivan should order an immediate and recurring in-depth study of the condition of Black people at UVA at all levels, similar to the “Audacious Faith Report”
- Students must be knowledgeable and conscious about history of racial oppression and discrimination in current and historic UVA and Charlottesville communities
- Deans should work with Department Chairs and Program Directors to incorporate minority perspectives and viewpoints in their coursework
- UVA should begin an immediate Capital Campaign to benefit construction of a permanent and proper slave memorial on Grounds
